Carbon Tech PDR Tools was founded out of a simple goal...

To bring smarter, stronger, and lighter tools to the Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) industry. Born in Southern California and built by technicians for technicians, our company is driven by real-world experience and a passion for better performance.

Our Story

Our founder, Todd Zimmerman, has been immersed in PDR since 1999, starting his career with Dent Wizard and later running a successful retail PDR shop. After years of working with the tools and completing countless hail jobs, Todd recognized a strong demand for innovative tools that surpassed existing industry standards. In 2015, Carbon Tech began designing carbon fiber PDR tools to solve the shortcomings of traditional metal equipment.

Carbon fiber offered the perfect combination of strength, stiffness, and lightweight performance, allowing technicians to push harder with less effort and greater precision. That insight led to our signature products, such as the modular Hail Rod and lightweight Hood Stand, tools built to last and engineered to perform under pressure.
